How the Glow System Works
Glow is a two-product system designed to work together.
Conditioning over silicone buildup is like painting over rust — nothing sticks. Glow Cleanse clears the barrier first so the conditioner can actually penetrate the hair shaft. You can use the Conditioner alone and still see results, but the full system is where the dramatic transformation happens.
How to Use the Conditioner

Brush first
Gently detangle and remove loose debris before applying. Glow works best on hair that's free of surface dirt.

Shake well
Shake the bottle before each use to ensure the oils are evenly distributed.

Spray 6–8 inches from the hair
Hold the bottle about 6–8 inches away and spray evenly along the mane or tail, working root to end. This distance gives even coverage without pooling.

Distribute with fingers or a wide-tooth comb
Work from the ends upward to detangle as you go. Your fingers are often more effective than a brush for initial distribution.

Do not rinse
Glow is a leave-in conditioner. The MCT oil will absorb fully within a few minutes and won't leave a greasy residue.
A 4 oz bottle delivers approximately 200 sprays. At 3–5 sprays per session, that's 40–65 applications — roughly 5–10 weeks of use on a single horse.
Start with the low end and add more if hair still feels dry or difficult to detangle after working through. Glow is lightweight — you won't over-condition the way you can with silicone products.

Applying after brushing means the hair is clean and detangled. The oils absorb into an already-prepared surface.

Apply the day before a show, not the morning of. This gives the MCT oil time to fully absorb and leaves hair with natural movement rather than a wet look.

Dusty environments — apply after turnout
In very dusty paddocks, apply after your horse returns from turnout rather than before. Fresh oil can attract dust during the day.
Noticeable shine improvement and easier detangling from the first application. Hair feels lighter and less coated if previously using silicone products.
Full conditioning benefit building. Significant improvement in manageability and breakage reduction. Tail rubbing horses may show first signs of reduced irritation.
For damaged or thinning hair: measurable thickness improvement. Fine new growth visible at the mane base and dock. This is the minimum for dramatic transformation — don't interrupt the protocol.
Maintain 2–3 times per week. Once hair is in good condition, 1–2 times per week is sufficient to maintain results.
Results compound with consistent use. Interrupting the 8-week protocol resets the follicle environment. If you're working toward regrowth or rubbing resolution, stock up so you don't run out mid-protocol.

Wet thoroughly
Saturate the mane and tail completely before applying. Glow Cleanse lathers best — and the surfactants work more evenly — on fully wet hair.

Work section by section. Apply 2–3 pumps directly to each section, working from root to end. For a full tail, use 4–6 pumps total.

Massage scalp for 30–60 seconds
Use your fingertips to gently massage the product into the scalp at the base of the mane and at the dock. This activates the botanical oils and helps remove deeper buildup.

Leave for 2 minutes — this is critical
The surfactants need contact time to dissolve silicone deposits. Rinse immediately and you're losing most of the benefit. Set a timer if needed.

Rinse until water runs clear
Rinse thoroughly — Glow Cleanse is designed to rinse completely clean with no residue. If water still looks cloudy or soapy, keep rinsing.

For the complete protocol, apply Glow Conditioner while hair is still damp after rinsing. The cleared follicle environment means the oils penetrate immediately.

Even though Glow Cleanse is sulfate-free, over-washing can strip natural oils. Two times per week is the maximum — more frequent use will diminish results, not improve them.

If your horse has been groomed with silicone-based detanglers or conditioners, there's a non-water-soluble film coating every hair shaft and follicle opening. This buildup makes hair look shiny temporarily, but it blocks moisture, suffocates follicles, and prevents any conditioning product from penetrating.

Chronic tail rubbing is almost always driven by scalp irritation — often a combination of silicone buildup, Malassezia yeast, or bacterial inflammation at the dock. This profile requires a modified application technique and the shampoo component for best results.

Spray 2–3 times directly onto the skin at the dock — not just the hair. Use your fingertips to massage gently in small circular motions for 30–60 seconds. This delivers the tea tree oil directly to the irritated scalp tissue and promotes microcirculation.
For horses with active tail rubbing, using Glow Cleanse twice per week alongside daily conditioner application delivers the best results. The shampoo's tea tree terpinen-4-ol addresses the yeast and bacterial load that drives most rubbing cycles.

Apply Conditioner — 5–8 sprays. Give it time to fully absorb overnight. Braiding the next morning will be noticeably easier. Do not apply the morning of the show — it needs the overnight absorption time.
No product application needed. Hair will have natural movement, healthy shine, and excellent manageability from the previous day's application.

Beyond the oil, Glow adds seven therapeutic essential oils — rosemary for follicle stimulation, tea tree for scalp health, bergamot, cedarwood, and others — in precise concentrations that would require separate sourcing and formulation to replicate at home.
Avoid applying near the eyes or on open wounds. If product contacts the eyes, rinse thoroughly with clean water. The formula is not formulated as an ocular-safe product.
Store in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight. Extreme heat (above 100°F / 38°C) can degrade the essential oils over time. The tack room is fine. The inside of a trailer or a car on a hot day is not ideal for extended storage. Shelf life is 18 months from manufacture date, printed on the bottle bottom.
